We get it, sometimes your phone won't stop pinging and you just want it to stop.
You can of course switch off all Notifications from Funky Frog, but that would mean that you might miss important alerts.
You will always receive notifications for alerts or messages to your 'Sub-Groups', but you can switch off the optional Notifications to 'Topics'. To do this select the 'Expanded Menu' within the app, by tapping the menu icon at the top left of your screen. From there select 'Alert Preferences' and silly toggle the various 'Topics' on and off.
Please note though, that deselecting a Topic means you will no longer be able to see any News or messages related to that Topic.
